Who can be helped?
If you have housing needs in Charles City County and your household income falls below the low-income threshold, CrossGap will try to help in some way. The 2009 low-income threshold shown in the table below is 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI) for the Richmond Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). The table also shows lower thresholds, and the potential for help increases as household income drops below these.

HOW TO APPLY FOR ASSISTANCE.
Click here to download a copy of our application for assistance. Completely fill in all the fields and mail to the address on the form. Please use this same form for applications for assistance from No Greater Love.

Assistance can also come in the form of an aluminum ramp which two people can install in several hours. This is a swift alternative to conventional installation when help is needed in hurry and/or only expected to be needed for a short time (6 to 12 months). The AlumiRamp is also used as a temporary measure until erection of a wooden ramp can be scheduled.
